Ran into this issue today. A subscription that had been working failed. Looking at it in the RS portal it had a status of “pending” Not helpful! I tested the report, looked at the datasources, and the subscription, it all looked good. It was only when I stepped through the subscription wizard and hit Finish that […]Read more "Reporting Services Subscriptions in "Pending" Status"
Not comprehensive, but perhaps useful next time: Verify that the SPN’s are correct for the server that has the Reporting Services database. Many ways to do this, but I like the Kerberos Configuration Manager. The SPN tab should show “Good” for the instance that hosts the database. If not, fix (typically requires domain admin). Don’t […]Read more "Notes on Setting Up & Troubleshooting Reporting Services Using Kerberos"
Today I watched DATAVIZ YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD NOT DO WITH SSRS by Jason Thomas. I wanted to add a couple of optional filters to the detail […]Read more "Reporting Services Parameter Assumptions"

Note: This isn’t a recommendation or endorsement, just notes from some research I’ve done. Please contact your vendor before making purchasing decisions! I’ve had an SSD (solid state drive) in my laptop for a while now. There are times when the performance is downright impressive. SSD’s have been making some inroads into the world of […]Read more "Notes about Server SSDs"
